A Revolutionary Summer

The Museum’s family-friendly discovery center, Revolution Place, brings to life the Museum’s lively, diverse Old City neighborhood during the 1700s and invites visitors to learn through hands-on exploration.

Guests joined an educator to explore our Revolutionary neighborhood and imagine what life was like in the 1700s. This 1.5-hour guided tour was offered daily and covered about a mile and stopped outside iconic sites including City Tavern, Independence Hall, and Carpenters Hall to discuss the experiences of everyday people in the Revolutionary era.

On Saturdays and Sundays at noon, guests joined a Museum educator for this 60-minute tour of the core exhibit galleries highlighting a diverse set of stories, experiences, and objects related to people of African descent during the American Revolution.

The Museum is offered two ticket discounts available with online purchase only, including a Family Four-Pack (two adult GA tickets and two youth GA tickets) for $59 as well as Adult GA tickets for $23 ($25 if purchased at the Museum).

The Museum is proud to be part of the Blue Star Museums program, which offers free admission to active-duty military personnel, including the National Guard and Reserves, and their families from Armed Forces Day, May 17, through Labor Day, Sept. 1.
